2. Padding or margin attribute when using left or right placement. Very important!
3. More styling attributes such as font family and decorations (underline).
4. Customize home icon. Use personal icon, change color et cetera.

I am using the Pro version. It is very helpful but the above features would really make a big difference.

Regarding the installation of 2.0: Do I have to deactivate and delete 1.3 first since updating is not an option in the WP dashboard? If I do deactivate and delete, will I lose the settings that I currently have? Your plugin does not have a ‘save settings’ feature.

One last thing, your 2.0 zip file has the _MACOSX folder in it. This should not be there and is not needed for WP.

Hello Skandha,
I have updated the plugin. Very unusual that the normal update process through the WP dashboard is not available.
I do like the new customizations! Very helpful and thank you.
There are some issues however.
1. Please see attached graphic. The breadcrump appearance has a full width border which seems unnecessary. Why not just have it for the length of the breadcrump (adaptively) or that it should have adjustable padding or margin itself. As you can see from the attached graphic, it is sitting on top on a widget on the right hand side. I would prefer that the breadcrumb ‘window’ had the adjustable width so that it matches the width of my text window which is about 80% of the total width.
2. I have no idea what the fonts look like. With TinyMCE and Google Fonts, the fonts all show a visual representation of themselves. Why not use the Google Font API? I don’t even recognize most of your fonts.
3. Font styling is important – bold, italic, underline et cetera.
4. Border shadow effect would be a good aesthetic plus as well.
5. Most importantly, your breadcrumb is INCOMPLETE! For example, the menu page Braun -> Experiment Systems -> MiniSystem only shows up as Home -> MiniSystem! That is not a true breadcrumb. Please see attached graphic.
I hope that these issues can be resolved quickly, particularly #5. This really is a major lacking.

You can find the instructions to update a pro plugin here. Normal update process through the WP dashboard is not possible for Pro themes and plugins.

1. The full width border shall be fixed in the upcoming update.
2. Regarding having a visual editor for the Font Family we will see what can be done about it. Thank you for the suggestion.
3. Font styling like bold, italic, underline, etc can be done by adding simple CSS Code. I can give you the code if you want it.
4. Border Shadow can be added using CSS Code. I can provide that you as well
5. I don’t see Minisystem menu items under Braun in your site. Can you check it? Under Braun there is only one menu item Intro.

Hello Skandha,

There are two screen shots. Please examine the one with the word incomplete in it.
You can see that the menu structure is: Braun -> Intro -> Experiment Systems -> MiniSystem. That is the complete breadcrumb trail. Try examining the breadcrumb trial from the home page (https://lectron.info), you will see it more easily.

I know how to do the CSS code (sort of, lol) but my point is that styling customizations should all be through the cockpit settings without having to use CSS code. Not everyone is comfortable with using code. Current plugin best practices are to do styling directly and visually without code a la Elementor.

Your version in the WP dashboard STILL shows up as 1.3 instead of 2.0. Yours is the only plugin that I have that does not allow updating but rather requires deactivation and deletion first.

What are your thoughts?

To have the Breadcrumb as Braun -> Intro -> Experiment Systems -> MiniSystem
You will need to edit the page and select parent for each page.

For example for Minisystem you will need select parent as Experiment Systems and so on.

Every page? That is an administrative nightmare! That is not the right approach anyway. I made a mistake in that the breadcrumb trail is based on menu selections. So the example breadcrumb should be Braun -> Intro (an actual page and is a URL link) -> Experiment Systems -> MiniSystem (which is the actual page). Braun and Experiment Systems are NOT pages, they are menu placeholders. Intro is an actual page as well. I will send you a screen shot of the menu design for this tree.

There doesn’t seem to be any alternative to it. You will have to select parent page manually for each page. Also custom links cannot be added to the breadcrumb. You will need to use post/page for that. Also improvements are being made to the plugin as you had suggested. I will be back with another update soon.
